Seventy 1199 members from Connecticut and Rhode Island met in New Hampshire for the first of four weekend trips to help our endorsed candidate for president, Barack Obama, win this November. In just a few short hours, 1199 and other SEIU members knocked on over 1475 doors during our voter outreach effort!

Because Connecticut and Rhode Island are already strong Obama states, 1199 members are focusing our efforts on New Hampshire where we can really make a difference in the national presidential election.

In 2000 and 2004, the New Hampshire election was decided by less than 9,200 votes, making it one of the infamous swing states — so there is a real opportunity for Obama to win there!

But we need to start talking with voters NOW in order to win in November.
