 State Contract Survey

Negotiations for a new contract for the P-1 and NP-6 bargaining units will begin in September 2008.

Our negotiations committee will be comprised of about one hundred (100) union members. There will be approximately one negotiating committee representative for every 75-100 members.

Petitions for nominations to run for the negotiating committee will be available beginning May 19, 2008, through your organizer and delegates. Completed petitions must be in the Hartford office, 77 Huyshope Avenue, by June 6, 2008.

After this nominating process is concluded, elections will be scheduled beginning June 9, 2008 and will be completed by June 27.

Contract surveys will be distributed to all members through the delegate structure, beginning on May 14, 2008. These surveys are a critical tool in developing our proposals and strategies, so please take the time to fill these surveys out. They should be turned into your delegate or organizer by June 13, 2008.
