1199 members are elected by geographic areas to serve on the 1199 Executive Board for a two-year term. The E-Board develops our union’s plans and policies, sets the annual budget and oversees finances.

In accordance with Article VIII of the District 1199 Bylaws,

Completed nominating petitions for officers and Executive Board must be returned to the District Election Board by Wednesday, August 5th, no later than 5:30 PM. Delegate petitions must be turned in by Wednesday, August 12th at 5:30 PM. Notification of the candidates for all offices will be mailed to members by Monday, September 14th.
Ballots will then be mailed on Monday, October 5th to all eligible members at their address of record. Completed ballots must be received by Friday, October 23rd. Ballots will be counted on Monday, October 26th.
Members will also vote to elect worksite delegates in 2008. In accordance with Article VIII of the District 1199 Bylaws, nominating petitions will be available beginning Wednesday, July1st. Completed petitions must be returned by Wednesday, August 12th. Notification of the candidates for delegate will be posted at the worksite. Members will vote in delegate elections held at worksites between Tuesday, September 29th and Friday, October 30th.
