Seven of those homes are in Rhode Island\, and the company received over $35 million in reimbursements from the State of RI last year. Citing economic uncertainty\, the company is seeking to impose a contract that would expose workers to up to $11\,000 a year in healthcare costs. \nFor workers who make around $30\,000 per year\, this is simply unaffordable – so nurses and supporters will be picketing outside of the Genesis facility in Pawtucket on Wednesday\, March 14 from 2 to 4pm\, and calling on Genesis to “Be Fair to Those Who Care!”   (The previous day\, we are picketing outside of their facility in Greenville). \nClick here to read more about how 1199 members who work for Genesis in RI are standing up to the company’s corporate greed!
