DESCRIPTION:This year the RI General Assembly chose to slash services to the developmentally disabled by $24 million dollars so the very wealthy and large multi-state corporations could keep their tax breaks. The impact has been devastating to consumers and the workforce that serves them.  Community-based agencies throughout the state have already begun layoffs and slashing wages to a group of workers that is already underpaid. \nJoin us at the State House on Thursday\, December 15th at 12pm to call on the General Assembly to restore the funding to programs for the developmentally disabled!  To RSVP\, call the union office at (401) 457-5099.
