Workers at SunBridge Healthcare Win with 1199

Madison House workers celebrate their 51-2 union election victory.

Workers at Madison House (Madison, CT), owned by SunBridge Healthcare, recently voted 51-2 to form a union with 1199. Their first contract reduces employees’ health insurance costs, gains them access to the 1199 Training Fund, and includes raises and restoration of sick days that had been cut. Similarly, 100 Sunbridge LPNs who organized at Governor’s House (Simsbury, CT), Arden House (Hamden, CT), and St Camillus (Stamford, CT) have won comparable contracts.
